LEGO Announces Dungeons & Dragons Building Set: Red Dragon’s Tale

After months of anticipation, LEGO has officially unveiled the upcoming Dungeons & Dragons-themed building set, Red Dragon’s Tale. This massive 3,745-piece set, created in collaboration with Wizards of the Coast, is scheduled for release on April 1 in LEGO stores and for LEGO Insiders. For everyone else, the set will be available for purchase on April 4, priced at $359.99.

Developed through the LEGO Ideas platform, where fans can submit their own build concepts for consideration, Red Dragon’s Tale features a complete dungeon and tower, a tavern, and six unique minifigures, including characters like the Orc Rogue, Gnome Fighter, Elf Wizard, and Dwarf Cleric. The set also includes iconic D&D monsters such as the owlbear, beholder, displacer beast, and the fearsome red dragon Cinderhowl, serving as the focal point of the collection.

LEGO is taking this partnership one step further by offering a D&D adventure book to LEGO Insiders as a complimentary digital download or as a paperback book for purchase with 2,700 Insider points. This adventure book will also be available on D&D Beyond, complete with character sheets and digital dice, allowing players to bring the LEGO minifigs and monsters to life on the tabletop for immersive gameplay.

Alongside the Red Dragon’s Tale set, LEGO has announced plans for an entire line of D&D-themed minifigures, set to launch in September 2024.
