The film’s director, Wes Ball, renowned for his work on the Maze Runner trilogy, acknowledges the significance of the Zelda franchise to fans. He aims to satisfy their greatest desires with this adaptation.

Ball offers a glimpse into his vision for the movie, emphasizing his intention to create a “serious” and “real” cinematic experience that still provides a sense of escapism:

“That’s the thing I want to try to create – it’s got to feel like something real. Something serious and cool, but fun and whimsical.”
