Surfshark boasts a network of approximately 3,000 servers, which is on par with other major VPN providers. However, if you’re in need of a VPN with even more servers, alternatives like NordVPN with over 6,000 servers and CyberGhost with more than 11,000 servers might be worth considering. Nonetheless, Surfshark stands out with its presence in 100 countries, offering popular server locations like the US and UK, as well as more unique options such as Andorra, Belize, and Laos. With over 600 servers in the US alone, Surfshark is a great choice for users looking to access content from that region.

During our speed tests across different server locations, we found that Surfshark’s global average speed was 104 Mbps. Comparatively, other VPNs like IPVanish (84 Mbps) and ExpressVPN (118 Mbps) offer similar performance. Surfshark utilizes the lightweight WireGuard protocol, known for delivering fast speeds without any bandwidth or data limitations.

Surfshark excels at unblocking geo-restricted websites and streaming services thanks to its vast server network spanning 100 countries. Its NoBorders feature allows users to bypass stringent network restrictions, making it a reliable choice for users in regions like China. Whether you’re streaming content on Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, BBC iPlayer, Disney+, or Hulu, Surfshark ensures smooth streaming experiences with its average speed of 104 Mbps.

Surfshark prioritizes security with features like 256-bit AES encryption, a kill switch, and support for the WireGuard protocol. We conducted tests to check for DNS leaks, and Surfshark passed without any leaks detected. Additionally, Surfshark offers additional security features like an ad blocker, MultiHop servers, and more, making it a comprehensive option for users concerned about their privacy.

Surfshark upholds a strict no-logs policy, ensuring that user data like IP addresses and browsing history are not stored. While Surfshark stores limited information about VPN server connections, this data is promptly deleted after a session ends.
