Mark Hamill returns as The Joker in MultiVersus: Watch first gameplay

The Joker Joins MultiVersus with Mark Hamill’s Iconic Voice

The iconic character, The Joker, is set to make an appearance in MultiVersus as part of the game’s relaunch later this month. What’s even more exciting is that actor Mark Hamill will be reprising his role as the Clown Prince of Crime for this special occasion. The game’s developer, Player First Games, along with Warner Bros. Games, gave fans a sneak peek of Joker in a new gameplay trailer. But that’s not all – the trailer also revealed another thrilling surprise: The Powerpuff Girls will be joining the MultiVersus roster as well.

The Powerpuff Girls Teased in Gameplay Trailer

While the gameplay trailer didn’t show Buttercup, Blossom, and Bubbles in action, fans were treated to a quick teaser of The Powerpuff Girls within the first few seconds of the video showcasing Joker. It’s safe to assume that they will fight as a team, similar to how Tom and Jerry are portrayed in MultiVersus, but we’ll have to wait for the official reveal to confirm.

Meet The Joker: A Mage-Class Character

In MultiVersus terms, The Joker falls under the Mage-class category, which means he is a ranged fighter who heavily relies on weapons and gadgets to deal damage. When Joker joins the roster, players can expect him to come armed with a pogo stick, spring-loaded boxing gloves, a rocket launcher, balloons, and cartoonish cannons. The first gameplay trailer also gave a glimpse of some alternate looks for Joker, including Dark Prince Charming and the Batman Who Laughs.

Mark Hamill Reprises His Role as The Joker

Mark Hamill’s return to voice The Joker marks a reunion with his Batman: The Animated Series co-star Kevin Conroy, who voices MultiVersus’ version of Batman. Hamill has always stayed connected to his version of The Joker, voicing the character in recent animated features and video games like Batman: The Killing Joke and Lego DC Super-Villains. Fans were thrilled to hear Hamill’s iconic voice once again, especially after his absence in the newer, alternate-universe Joker featured in the recent Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League update.

Exciting Return of MultiVersus on May 28

After almost a year of being offline, MultiVersus is gearing up to make its much-anticipated return on May 28. During its hiatus, developer Player First has been diligently working on retooling the game, inspired by Smash Bros., and creating new content to enhance the player experience.

Expansive Roster Welcomes The Joker and The Powerpuff Girls

The Joker will be joining an already diverse roster of characters in MultiVersus, including DC favorites like Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Harley Quinn, and Black Adam. Fans can also look forward to playing as Scooby-Doo’s Shaggy and Velma, Looney Tunes’ Bugs Bunny, Tasmanian Devil, and Marvin the Martian, Game of Thrones’ Arya Stark, Tom and Jerry, Adventure Time’s Finn the Human and Jake the Dog, Steven Universe and Garnet, Iron Giant, Space Jam: A New Legacy’s LeBron James, Rick Sanchez and Morty Smith, Gremlins’ Gizmo and Stripe, and MultiVersus’ original character Reindog.
