Assassin’s Creed Jade takes players to Ancient China, specifically during the time of the first unified empire of the Quin Dynasty in 215 B.C. According to Andrei Chan, executive producer at Level Infinite, this period in China’s history is incredibly exciting as it marks the establishment of the first empire and a time of strong connections with the rest of the world. In the game, players will control Xia, a new assassin, as they navigate the dangers of protecting Xionanu from raiders and experience the cultural exchanges between East and West Xianyang. The story of Codename Jade is set between the events of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey and Assassin’s Creed Origins, but how these events will intertwine with the game’s narrative remains a mystery.

Details about the gameplay mechanics in Assassin’s Creed Jade are still limited, but the game aims to deliver an authentic experience with core elements like parkour, climbing, and combat.
