The Xenomorph is coming to Dead By Daylight, so I’m a Dead By Daylight fan now

Alien is Coming to Dead By Daylight

Get ready horror fans, because the iconic Xenomorph from the Alien franchise is making its way to the popular multiplayer game Dead By Daylight. Fans of the game can look forward to playing as this licensed sci-fi killer alongside other horror legends like Freddy Krueger and Michael Myers.

While details are limited at the moment, a teaser trailer has been released and the community is eagerly awaiting more information. As an avid Alien fan myself, this news is especially exciting. I’ve watched all the movies, played Alien Isolation, and even dressed up as a Xenomorph for conventions. So, you can imagine my enthusiasm for this upcoming addition to Dead By Daylight.

Behaviour Interactive, the developer of Dead By Daylight, has done an impressive job incorporating other iconic killers into the game, such as Nemesis from Resident Evil and Sadako Yamamura from Ringu. I have high hopes that they will faithfully capture the essence of the Xenomorph as well.

Although the survivors who will join the Xenomorph have not been revealed, the teaser trailer suggests that the Nostromo spaceship will be the setting for the Alien-themed level. Naturally, many fans are speculating that Ripley, the protagonist of the Alien films, will be one of the survivors. However, it remains to be seen which other characters from the franchise will be included.

The Nostromo level itself appears to be promising, with its industrial aesthetic and potential hiding spots for the biomechanical Xenomorph. It’s a perfect environment to create suspense and fear while running from generator to generator.

As for the Xenomorph’s gameplay, it’s highly likely that it will be a stealthy killer. Ideally, players would love to see a progression that mirrors the Xenomorph’s life cycle, from the facehugger stage to the adult form. However, it’s more probable that the Xenomorph will be a mobile character capable of quickly traversing the map, possibly utilizing vents for added mobility. Its attacks should also reflect its ferocious nature, with a signature move like the Memento Mori, where it feasts on its victim’s head.

With the addition of the Xenomorph, the possibilities for future sci-fi killers in Dead By Daylight are vast. Maybe the Predator will be next or potentially other iconic characters from the genre. While it’s unlikely, the thought of an inclusion from Leprechaun 4: In Space is too amusing to ignore.

So, as someone who’s been won over by this exciting news, I’ll be joining the ranks of Dead By Daylight fans. Apologies in advance for my inevitable enthusiasm and obsession.
