Dead Island 2 Expands Its Horizons with the Haus Expansion


Dead Island 2 is about to take players on a thrilling and surreal journey with its upcoming story expansion, Haus. Set to release on November 2nd, this expansion will be available on multiple platforms including PlayStation 4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC (via the Epic Games Store). Haus promises to immerse players in a “surreal, psycho-horror dreamscape” as they uncover the mysteries of a Malibu cult in an entirely new story and setting.

So, who or what is Haus? According to the game’s storyline, Haus is a symbol of a new future, a figure prophesied by Konstantin, the leader of a techno-death cult. As players navigate through this expansion, they will encounter hordes of zombies and engage in all-out gore with new weapons like the explosive K-rossbow and the Hog Roaster, which promises a unique experience of “visceral slaying” and undead barbecue. Deliciously macabre, isn’t it?


The Haus expansion will also introduce eight new skill cards to aid players as they explore the twisted labyrinths of biomes within Haus. Take a look at some captivating screenshots from the expansion below:

Additionally, Dambuster Studio has confirmed that a second story expansion for Dead Island 2, titled SOLA Festival, is in the works and scheduled for release in the second quarter of 2024. This festival will allow players to join the party and “greenwash their way to ecstasy” while saving the planet.


Players who have already purchased Dead Island 2’s expansion pass will have access to both Haus and the upcoming SOLA Festival content upon release. For those who haven’t, the expansions will be available for individual purchase.
