Modern Warfare 3 day 1 patch fixes crashes and makes significant weapon balance changes

The highly anticipated day-one patch for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is available for download as the game officially launched today, November 10th. The patch contains important fixes and changes that players should be aware of before diving into the game.

According to the Call of Duty blog, the patch addresses issues in the campaign, multiplayer UI, weapons, maps, and more. Notable fixes include crashes when loading into campaign missions and “UI-related crashes” when using the menus. Weapon changes are also a significant part of the update, with adjustments made to 13 weapons and two conversion kits. Players who participated in the beta period will want to ensure that their weapon of choice still performs as expected. 

The patch brings significant adjustments to various weapons in the game. For example, the SVA 545 assault rifle sees improvements in recoil control and rate of fire, in addition to a boost in bullet velocity. Conversely, some weapons like the Striker submachine gun have been nerfed, reducing their overall damage. These adjustments aim to balance the gameplay and improve the overall experience for players.
