Baldur’s Gate 3 emerged as the big winner at the 2023 Golden Joystick Awards, making history by securing wins in seven different categories. The game was honored for best storytelling, best visual design, studio of the year, best game community, PC game of the year, and ultimately, the ultimate game of the year. Additionally, Neil Newbon, known for his role as Astarion, was recognized as the best-supporting performer.
This level of achievement is unprecedented in the 41-year history of the award show, as no other game has ever managed to dominate across all categories in this manner.
The next most successful title at the event was Final Fantasy 16, securing victories in the best audio and best lead performer categories, with Ben Starr, who portrays Clive Rosfield, receiving accolades for his performance.
