The Pokémon Company recently revealed that it will be introducing a new attraction called ‘PokéPark Kanto’ at the Yomiuriland in Inagi, Tokyo.
Though the official opening date has not yet been provided, it is anticipated that this new park will offer a comprehensive experience, including various rides and activities, akin to the popular Super Nintendo World located at Universal Studios Japan.
This is not the first time The Pokémon Company has teamed up with Yomiuriland. In 2021, they collaborated to launch Pokémon Wonder, an outdoor attraction that invites visitors to explore nature and discover hand-crafted Pokémon art pieces made from natural materials.
Statement from Official Announcement (Google-translated)
“Pokémon fans from all over the world will gather in this place rich in nature, feel Pokémon, and create a space that can be enjoyed together beyond the walls of countries, regions and languages. Please look forward to the follow-up news.”
In addition to the introduction of PokéPark Kanto, it has been reported that trademarks for PokéPark Kalos and PokéPark Paldea have been filed by Nintendo in Europe. However, given that PokéPark Kanto is still in the early stages of development, these trademarks are likely to serve as placeholders for the time being.
