Insomniac confirmed that Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will be getting a New Game Plus mode, among other eagerly awaited features. The initial plan was to have the feature available before the end of the year, but the studio has decided to push back the release to conduct more testing to meet its standards.

Insomniac has promised to share a feature-complete list of all the latest inclusions closer to the update’s launch. Some of the highly requested features include the ability to change the time of day, swap tendril colors, and replay missions. The studio expressed its appreciation for the player feedback and asked for patience as the team works on finishing the update for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.

Despite the delay, the game has been a massive success, with sales exceeding 5 million copies in the first three weeks of release. Insomniac’s Spider-Man 2 has quickly become the fastest-selling PlayStation Studios game, surpassing popular titles such as God of War, Uncharted, and The Last of Us.
