Nightingale holds many wonders and secrets, but one of the most important things you’ll constantly need is Essence Dust. In this guide, we’ll show you how to gather it as efficiently as possible.

Gathering Essence in Nightingale

There are numerous ways to collect Essence in Nightingale, so we’ll highlight the most lucrative methods. It’s important to note that we’re focusing on regular Essence Dust, not T1 or further Essences, since you’ll need Essence Dust for a variety of things such as repairs and purchasing items from Essence Traders.

If you find yourself needing to quickly repair or buy something in Nightingale, the method we recommend the most is extracting Essence from items in your inventory. After realizing this, we discovered an abundance of resources around us such as plants, sticks, and stones.

Equipped with your Sickle, simply roam around and attack any foliage you come across, while also picking up sticks and stones along the way. Once you’ve collected enough, head into your inventory to extract all the Fibre, Sticks, and Stones you’ve gathered. You should then have a substantial amount of Essence Dust to use for trading or repairs.

Crafting Goods for Essence Dust

In addition to extracting Essence from raw materials, you can also craft goods in Nightingale to obtain more Essence Dust. We recommend crafting goods that require simple ingredients and provide a large quantity of Essence, such as Straps which provide double the Essence of the item needed to craft them, and you get two.

Remember that any crafted good is worth much more than its raw materials. If you have the time and resources, consider crafting cheap tools and gear to sell for a higher amount of Essence Dust.

This method may take more time, but it will result in a large amount of Essence Dust.

Challenge Rewards in Nightingale

In the Guidebook menu, completing Challenges will reward you with a generous amount of Essence Dust. Make sure to claim these rewards so you don’t miss out.

Encounters in Nightingale

Any Encounter in Nightingale will also award you with Essence. As you explore different Realms, the encounters become more challenging and rewarding. These Realms will also award better quality Essences.

Remember to keep a lookout for Encounters in any Realm you enter, as they provide a simple and enjoyable way to gather Essence. Fully explore your Abeyance Realm to make sure you’ve obtained all the Encounter Essence available.

While these are only one-time rewards, they’re rewarding enough to reduce the need for grinding using the methods mentioned earlier.
