Insomniac Games worked to make a quality update

Insomniac Games provided details for the upcoming update to Marvel’s Spider-Man 2’s new game plus mode in their recent post on the PlayStation Blog. Version 1.002 of the game will bring in exciting new features such as replaying missions on a harder difficulty, new Ultimate Levels, Golden Gadget styles, and additional unlocks. The update will also introduce new suit styles for Peter’s symbiote suits, including a “Hellfire Gala” suit for both Peter and Miles. Moreover, players will now have the option to change the time of day in the game.

Additionally, a new DLC pack of suits called Fly N’ Fresh will be available for purchase at $4.99. All proceeds from this DLC will go to Gameheads, a charity that supports low-income youth and youth of color in the video game industry.

Originally scheduled for release in 2023, the update was delayed by Insomniac Games to ensure the highest quality standards. The studio shared that they require additional time for testing and to incorporate highly requested features. Insomniac Games expressed gratitude for the fans’ patience and plans to release a complete list of new features closer to the patch’s launch.

Outside of game updates, Insomniac Games has reportedly experienced a ransomware attack, leading to compromised materials for Wolverine PS5 and other confidential projects, which Sony is currently investigating.
