Hotline Miami 1 & 2 just got a native release on Xbox Series X/S and PS5

If you’re unfamiliar with Hotline Miami or simply want an excuse to revisit its uniquely chaotic gameplay, you’ll be pleased to know that both games in the series are now available for Xbox Series X/S and PS5.

It’s hard to believe that over a decade has passed since the release of Hotline Miami, the critically acclaimed game that captured attention with its frenetic top-down violence. The unnamed protagonist takes on the Miami mafia after receiving cryptic instructions through his answering machine, resulting in a blood-soaked rampage. The game’s combination of stealth, ultra-gory shooting action, surreal narrative, stunning visual style, and pulsing synth soundtrack earned it a dedicated fanbase (Eurogamer even scored it a perfect 10/10 upon release).

Hotline Miami 1 and 2 come to PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.

The sequel, Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number, arrived in 2015 and aimed to be bigger, weirder, and tougher than its predecessor. However, it didn’t quite have the same impact as the original.

Both Hotline Miami and Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number are now available natively on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. You can purchase the Hotline Miami Collection, which includes both games, for $19.99 USD (around £16). Alternatively, you can buy them individually for $9.99 and $14.99 (approximately £8 and £12) respectively.

The PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions come with new Achievements/Trophies, and existing owners on both platforms can upgrade for free thanks to publisher Devolver Digital.
