If you want to enhance your gameplay in Star Ocean The Second Story R, it’s important to take advantage of its various specialties and IC abilities. How to Find a Magic Camera or RIRICA for Replication
In order to utilize the replication feature in Star Ocean The Second Story R, you’ll need either a Magic Camera or a RIRICA. Let’s start with the RIRICA, which is obtainable before the Magic Camera. To acquire the RIRICA, you’ll need to use the Machinist IC ability to create a Support Item. Look for the RIRICA at the bottom of the list, with a required level of eight. Keep in mind that you’ll need to focus on leveling up your Machinist skills early on to obtain the RIRICA before the Magic Camera. While I haven’t reached the replication level required yet personally (I’m currently at Linga in the story of Star Ocean The Second Story R), I’ve been prioritizing other areas of customization.
If obtaining the RIRICA proves difficult, don’t worry. Your best alternative to kickstart your replication journey is the Magic Camera. Based on my knowledge, you can acquire the Magic Camera as soon as you reach the second continent in the game. Head to Linga and visit “The Academy Co-op” store at the Campus Store to obtain the Magic Camera. Simply select the buy option and scroll down until you find the Magic Camera.

Replication is an invaluable tool that allows you to create duplicates of items for various purposes. You can duplicate items that have a high sale value, or even items that prove useful in battles. Personally, one of the first things I did with replication in Star Ocean The Second Story R was duplicate Resurrection Elixirs, ensuring I had an ample supply to rely on during intense battles.
