What is new in November on Toornament?

New Custom Bracket Structure

Toornament has introduced the new “Custom Bracket” structure, which allows organizers to have more freedom in creating their desired tournament format. This new feature is available in beta and allows for manual creation of brackets with custom participant progression, catering to formats not feasible with the other available options on Toornament.

Stryda, a Swedish company, recently launched the Valorant Nordic Clash, an official VCT Off-Season event with a $20,000 prize pool.

They utilized the Toornament management software and the website builder to organize the playoff stage of the Valorant competition and display the results online.

API Guides Section Launched

This month, Toornament launched a new “Guides” section in the API developer portal. The purpose of this section is to provide tutorials for using the API on esports projects.

The first guide explains how to display a bracket on an HTML page using the Toornament API and the bracket nodes’ endpoint, making it a valuable resource for integrating elimination brackets into websites or applications.

The November Shadow Work

The development of Toornament is an ongoing process, featuring various improvements and corrections made behind the scenes, apart from the big announcements published on this blog. These include optimization of the tool, bug fixes, and graphical improvements to enhance user interfaces.

Below is a non-exhaustive list of other improvements and corrections made this month:

  • Correction of a malfunction in the use of tournament codes in League of Legends
  • New disciplines added: EA UFC 5, Heat and Run, Warcraft Rumble, and COD:MW III
  • Rework of the project dashboard and plan subscription interface
  • Various minor bug fixes in the player and organizer interface
