Xenonauts 2: New Update Brings Exciting Content

Xenonauts 2 is an old-school XCOM-alike that allows players to control a task force responsible for protecting the world from an extra-terrestrial threat. The strategy game, currently in early access, is set to receive a new update, patch 1.3, which will introduce a host of new features and content.

Producer Hooded Horse revealed in a press release to TechRadar Gaming that patch 1.3 will bring new weapons and threats to the game. This includes the introduction of Cruiser-class UFOs for the alien menace, equipped with deadly fusion weapons. On the human side, players will gain access to Hover Tanks, new types of dropships, and interceptors. Additionally, the update will make fusion weapons on alien cruisers salvageable.

Patch 1.3 will also add new maps for early game use, and the patch notes can be found on Steam for players who want to explore all the new features. Furthermore, Xenonauts 2 will be available at a 30% discount until March 4 on Steam, GOG, and the Epic Games Store.

Xenonauts 2 is a nod to the classic XCOM formula, offering strategic decision-making and punishing, isometric combat reminiscent of the earlier titles in the series. For players looking for a faithful treatment of the traditional XCOM-style, Xenonauts is a recommended choice.
