Honkai Star Rail Version 2.1 Preview

Honkai Star Rail version 2.1, also known as “Into the Yawning Chasm,” is getting ready to launch with a plethora of new events and quality-of-life improvements for players. If you’re eagerly anticipating characters like Acheron and Aventurine, then this update is sure to excite you.

Honkai Star Rail Version 2.1 Release Date

Honkai Star Rail version 2.1 is set to release on Wednesday, March 27, 2024. For players based in the United States, the update will go live around 8 PM PT/11 PM ET on Tuesday, March 26. The maintenance period is expected to be brief, with servers coming back online before midnight in the western region.

Prior to the official release, players will have the opportunity to preload the patch. The game launcher will notify you when the download becomes available, while mobile users can visit the App Store or Play Store to initiate the download. PlayStation users will have the patch automatically download during the preload period.

Honkai Star Rail 2.1 Banner and Rerun Schedule

The upcoming phase of Honkai Star Rail version 2.1 will feature the Words of Yore banner for Acheron, a new 5-star Lightning character. Also, Acheron’s signature Light Cone will be highlighted in the Brilliant Fixation banner. Additionally, Gallagher, a new 4-star Fire Abundance character, will make their debut. These banners will be accessible from Wednesday, March 27 through Wednesday, April 17.

In the second phase starting on Wednesday, April 17, Acheron’s banner will be replaced by Gilded Imprisonment featuring Aventurine. Aventurine, the game’s first Imaginary Preservation character, will also have their signature Light Cone showcased on the Brilliant Fixation banner. Jingliu will get a rerun banner alongside Aventurine, lasting until the next update on Wednesday, May 8.

Honkai Star Rail 2.1 Event Schedule

The version 2.1 release of Honkai Star Rail will feature three major events:

• Cosmodyssey
• Vignettes in a Cup
• Tides of War: Untainted Childhood Memories Passionate-Heart Burning-Soul Ultimate Collection

These events will bring both fun experiences and challenging combat activities for players to enjoy. Cosmodyssey, in particular, will celebrate the game’s first anniversary with various free rewards up for grabs.

Cosmodyssey Anniversary Event

The highlight of Honkai Star Rail version 2.1 is the Cosmodyssey event, a special celebration marking the one-year anniversary of the game. Players will engage in a board game activity with daily dice rolls to earn Trailblaze Funds that can be exchanged for rewards. The event board will also feature mini-games and surprises for players to explore.

Furthermore, the anniversary event will provide additional free rewards just for logging in. Players can expect a Festive Gifts event during the anniversary period, offering a total of 20 Star Rail Special Passes as a log-in bonus. On the anniversary date, players will also receive 1,600 Stellar Jades, equivalent to a 10-pull.

Additionally, the Oneiric Shard first-time top-up bonuses will be reset with the release of version 2.1. During the anniversary period, Trailblazers can enjoy triple Relic rewards and triple Planar Ornament rewards from specific in-game activities.

Vignettes in a Cup Event

Another major event, Vignettes in a Cup, will provide players with a free 4-star character. Participants will engage in activities to mix drinks and earn revenue, leading to rewards such as Stellar Jades and enhancement materials. Ultimately, players will have the opportunity to select a free 4-star character from a predefined list.

Tides of War Event

The Tides of War: Untainted Childhood Memories Passionate-Heart Burning-Soul Ultimate Collection event will commence during version 2.1, offering combat-focused challenges with special buffs and rules for players to navigate.

New Features in Honkai Star Rail 2.1

In addition to introducing new Trailblaze Missions and areas, Honkai Star Rail version 2.1 will bring several quality-of-life enhancements and features. World 9 of the Simulated Universe will open up, boasting new Planar Ornament sets like Sigonia, the Unclaimed Desolation, and Izumo Gensei and Takama Divine Realm.

New Ascension and Trace materials will be introduced in version 2.1, obtainable from a new boss named Ten Stonehearts: Aventurine of Stratagems. Additionally, the maximum relic inventory capacity will increase to 2,000, providing more storage for players.

Players can also look forward to new lore updates through Fate’s Atlas, offering more insights into the game’s storyline and world. A new feature called Fate’s Ensemble will allow players to explore the perspectives of characters not directly involved with the main Astral Express crew.

Lastly, there will be various enhancements such as the ability to claim assignment rewards and redeploy them all with a single button press, new Dream Ticker puzzles and Dreamscape Pass pages, and updated Hanu transformation puzzles featuring a rocket launcher twist.
